HELLO,

A.J. Nwoko grew up in a small city in Alamance County, North Carolina. After graduating with a bachelors degree in Electronic Broadcast Journalism and music from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, he found his way to Charlottesville Virginia working as a News Photographer at NBC29 WVIR-News.

After nearly two years covering stories from behind and in front of the camera A.J. made his way to Richmond Virginia where he is on your side every evening as a multimedia journalist at NBC12.

A.J has a passion for telling stories no matter how big or small. His career has taken him all over the country covering stories from the 2017 Charlottesville riots, to hurricane coverage in Florida. But A.J.'s passion lies in telling stories about everyday people in his community doing extraordinary things and boldly overcoming adversity. And he'd love to tell your stories next.

When A.J. isn’t working you can find him running all over Richmond, drawing cartoons, and writing and playing music.
